 Instead of taking certain prescribed tablets on daily basis in order to diminish its effect, it can also be controlled by taking a balanced & appropriate diet. In this regard the below mentioned pieces of advice can be exceedingly supportive to control hypertension:

 

High Blood Pressure and Daily Diet Control

First, research has shown that fresh fruits & vegetables like citrus, fruit juice, carrot, celery, cucumber, cabbage and other green leafy vegetables all have a protective effect on cardiovascular, so the patients should use these fruits & vegetables frequently & regularly to decrease the risk of stroke.

Second, the use of Salt adds fuel to fire by aggravating the effect of disease. That’s why it’s strongly recommended to use such food items which have minimum quantity of salt. Rather they should use such food which has great quantity of Potassium as it protects the cardiac cells. Foods such as amaranth, spinach, tomato, bitter gourd, yam all contain a large amount of potassium and are highly helpful to minimize the chance of heart stroke.

Third, cholesterol also aggravates the chances of heart attack so the patients should control the intake of cholesterol. They should eat less oily foods, especially the food comprised of animal fats, and limit the intake of all animal organs (such as heart, liver, kidney), fatty meat, butter, egg yolk and other foods which are rich in cholesterol and fatty acids.

Fourth, the excessive use of smoking & alcohol can be disastrous for your heart and other valuable body organs as well. It is just like burning fire under one’s own feet. There is nicotine in cigarette which enters into the body when the smoke is inhaled. As nicotine enters the body, it is distributed quickly through the bloodstream and, resultantly, it stimulates the heart, accelerates the heart rate, thus leading to high blood pressure. What's more, nicotine can also promote the deposition of cholesterol on the vascular wall, which may increase the chance of coronary heart disease and stroke. On the other hand, drinking alcohol even at a small scale can increase the level of high-density lipoprotein in blood which leads to heart attack.

Above all, the use of healthy & balanced diet can be highly effective to have an emphatic control over the disease. The food which contains plenty of protein, cellulose, glucose, fructose, etc is usually considered a balanced & health diet for the patients afflicted in Heart diseases & can be taken as the medical food for hypertension and diabetics.
