Tips for Having Your Blood Pressure Measured

-Do not take coffee or smoking half-hour before having your blood pressure taken.

-Before the test, sit down for 5 minutes along with your back supported and your feet horizontal on the floor. Rest your upper limb on a table on the level of your heart.

-Put on short sleeves so your upper limb is uncovered.

-Go to the toilet before the interpretation. A full bladder can alter your blood pressure evaluation.

-Get two readings, taken a minimum of 2 minutes apart and average the outcomes.

-Ask the physician or nurse to tell you the blood pressure values in figures.
